2nd Shift Supervisor - Iron Foundry

CFM Foundry is seeking an experienced and dependable 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead our iron foundry operations team. In this role, you will oversee a crew of 11 to 15 workers, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production during the evening shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and supervise an 11–15 person production crew to ensure shift goals and production schedules are met.
• Safety First: Enforce all company safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure proper use of Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across the shop floor.
• Operations & Workflow: Monitor daily foundry processes (core making, molding, assembly, melt, and shakeout) to maintain smooth workflow and address operational bottlenecks.
• Administrative & Reporting: Use computer systems to record shift production data, track attendance, and log maintenance requests.
• Problem Solving: Identify equipment or production issues quickly and coordinate with maintenance or upper management to minimize downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Leadership Experience: Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing, foundry, industrial, or heavy industry environment.
• Foundry / Heavy Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of foundry processes, metallurgy, or heavy manufacturing operations preferred.
• Computer Skills: Functional knowledge of computers (e.g., email, digital shift logs, basic spreadsheets, or inventory systems).
• Physical Capabilities:
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move around a heavy industrial shop floor for the duration of the shift.
• PPE Requirements: Willingness and ability to wear all mandatory PPE.
