310T Mechanic

The Hughson Group is a Kingston based company that specializes in road side safety products, barrier and noise walls, overhead signs foundation drilling and fencing. As the industry continues to thrive, we are seeking an experienced and licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician to help keep up with the daily demand at our shop. As a a Truck Technician your wage will be based on your experience.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform annual vehicle inspections for the Ministry of Transport

• Identify and fix any equipment or vehicle problems

• Ensure that repairs are in accordance with manufacturer and government requirements

• Clean and lubricate equipment and trailers

• Complete repairs according to prescribed deadlines

• Test the repaired equipment to ensure it is working properly

The right person for the job must be able to:

• Diagnose & repair vehicles

• Work safely in a high-pressure environment.

• Communicate in English, both written and verbal

The right candidate must have:

• Own Tools and ability to commute to shop

• 310T (Truck and Coach Technician) License

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a related position

Experience in heavy construction equipment maintenance, welding and fabrication, or small automotive vehicle repairs are considered an asset, as well as any additional certifications or education relating to the position.
