3.5t Van Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 3.5t Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a professional attitude, strong driving skills, and the ability to manage deliveries within tight schedules. Duties

• Safely operate a 3.5-ton van for daily delivery routes
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secure during transit
• Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including stock organisation and inventory management
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the company's standards of customer service

Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles, preferably with delivery driver experience
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
• Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding stock handling procedures
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle operation
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading goods and lifting items as required
