360 Crane Operator / Material Handler

Experienced on a 360 material handler? Looking for a permanent role with a strong salary?

We’re looking for a confident and experienced 360 Crane Operator / Material Handler Operator to join our team.

This isn’t a role where you’ll spend all day standing around waiting for work. You’ll be operating a 360 scrap material handler in a busy working environment, handling materials, loading and unloading lorries and helping keep the site moving safely and efficiently.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Your main responsibility will be operating our 360 scrap material handler, including:

• Loading and unloading lorries
• Moving, sorting and positioning materials
• Handling scrap/material safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily machine checks
• Spotting and reporting mechanical issues before they become bigger problems
• Keeping your machine and working area in good condition
• Working alongside the wider site team to keep operations running smoothly
• Following site Health & Safety procedures at all times

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re interested in hearing from experienced operators with backgrounds in:

• 360 Material Handlers
• 360 Excavators
• Scrap Handling
• Waste & Recycling
• Heavy Plant
• Loading & Unloading Lorries
• Grab / Material Handling Equipment

You’ll need to be confident around heavy machinery, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.

Basic mechanical knowledge is a big advantage if you’re the type of operator who knows their machine, notices when something isn’t right and looks after the equipment they’re operating, even better.

Experience within scrap metal, recycling, waste or another heavy industrial environment would be particularly valuable.

Relevant plant tickets/licences are advantageous, so please include details of any current tickets or operator cards when applying.
