360 excavator driver

JM landscaping limited are seeking an experienced 360 excavator driver to join our team. Undertaking all forms of landscaping duties throughout residential properties.

Established in early 2024, JM Landscaping and groundworks are a family-run business covering all aspects of groundworks and landscaping throughout South Wales and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will possess strong landscaping & groundwork background, and although maybe required to operate plant from time to time, you will also be required to help out on the ground when no machine work to be done.

Majority of our work in based within residential properties, completing work relating to garden renovations and driveway installs.

This role involves various tasks related to landscaping & groundworks such as:-

• Digging out and stoning up sub-bases, with correct dig levels

This role will be on a sub-contractor bases to start, with the potential of full time contracts in the near future.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Working to deadlines and managing time effectively
• Dig and prepare soil/sub base for paving, planting, turf etc, ensuring proper depth and quality.
• Setting out fence lines, digging holes, cat scanning for services, erection of fencing
• Perform some but not necessarily all hardscape tasks such as building retaining walls, pathways, and patios, resin bound, block paving, driveways etc
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.

Essentials Skills & Experience

• Full driver’s license and ideally own transport to get to and from site/pick up point every morning.
• Ability and experience in operating on site plant safely
• Physically fit and healthy
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Groundworks, landscaping, construction experience
• Good eye for detail
• Polite and well mannered.
• Good timekeeping
• Be a team player

Pay: £150.00-£160.00 per day
