3D Modeler (voluntary collaborative portfolio)

Hello everyone!

We’re making an OC fantasy cinematic called Siege of Alldrasil and we’re looking to expand the Blender team!

As an indie team of 10 artists, we are building something realistic, epic YET manageable. Right now, we’re looking for a mid-to-senior 3D artist to join our team.

The Role & Responsibilities: Your main priority will be collaborating with the team to build architectural modular systems for kitbashing based on provided concept art. We need someone who can architecturally populate the fantasy city to feel like a believable, lived-in world, and crucially, piece together a cohesive toolkit that the rest of the modeling team can use moving forward.

We do have deadlines but communication comes first, we are working with an amazing team of skilled artists

the main goal of the project it’s not to prove you can model and build something cool but to prove that you can work in a team to create something really impressive

The Story: In a mostly barren world, humanity discovers a miracle, the ruins of Alldrasil. This ancient ethereal architecture belonging to a long extinct Elvish civilization has remained undisturbed for ages. Believing this sanctuary to be a gift from the gods, humanity claims the site to assume their status among the divine, completely unaware they are building directly over sacred Elvish foundations and aggressively rewriting history in their own image.

Compensation & IP: This is a volunteer, portfolio building collaboration. Your work will be fully credited, protected, and showcased. We actively encourage posting your process and documenting your work alongside the rest of the team to champion our collaborators and draw eyes to everyone’s portfolios!

We use Blender but other tools like Substance, Houdini, etc… are allowed.

The commitment and length of the project it’s going to be roughly 2-3 months.
