What they need
About us
Reco Turbo is the UK's largest independent wholesale turbocharger distributor, trading for over 16 years and part of Reco Group, a growing automotive aftermarket group operating across Leicester, Doncaster and Leeds. We're investing in in-house design and additive manufacturing capability to support our remanufacturing, prototyping and product development work.
The role
We're looking for a hands-on 3D print and CAD technician to establish and run our additive manufacturing workflow. You'll work across scanning, CAD and printing — reverse-engineering components, producing jigs, fixtures and prototype parts, and building a library of accurate digital models to support our production and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and maintain resin (SLA/DLP) 3D printers, including print preparation, post-processing (washing, curing, support removal) and resin handling
- Produce CAD models and technical drawings in Fusion 360, from concept work through to production-ready designs
- Carry out 3D scanning of components and assemblies; process scan data into usable mesh and solid models for reverse engineering
- Design and manufacture jigs, fixtures, gauges and tooling to support workshop and warehouse operations
- Manage print scheduling, consumables and printer maintenance
- Maintain an organised digital library of models, scans and revisions
- Work with production, engineering and warranty teams to turn requests into printed parts quickly
What we're looking for
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with resin 3D printing, including post-processing and troubleshooting failed prints
- Strong Fusion 360 skills — parametric modelling, assemblies and drawings
- Practical experience with 3D scanning and scan-to-CAD workflows (mesh cleanup, surface reconstruction)
- Good working knowledge of tolerances, fits and design-for-manufacture principles
- Self-sufficient and organised — able to run the function largely independently
- Comfortable in a workshop/warehouse environment
Desirable
- Experience with FDM printing alongside resin
- Automotive, engineering or remanufacturing background
- Familiarity with metrology or inspection work
- Experience specifying/procuring printers, scanners and materials
Details
- 3 days per week (days flexible by agreement)
- £14.50 per hour (approx. £18,100 per annum based on a 24-hour week)
- Immediate start available
To apply, please send your CV and examples of your work (prints, models or scan projects) to Reco Turbo Ltd.
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 per week
Work Location: In person
