About the Opportunity

1Finity, a Fujitsu company launched in July 2025 by consolidating Fujitsu’s network-related businesses, is building the future of global telecommunications infrastructure. We are looking for a 3GPP RAN4 Standardization Researcher to shape 5G-Advanced and 6G radio standards.

Position Summary

You will contribute to 3GPP RAN4 technical discussions and proposals, working with global telecom companies and our standardization and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, present, and drive technical contributions in 3GPP RAN4, leading discussions to build consensus and promote the adoption of company proposals into global specifications.
• Shape 5G-Advanced and 6G radio standards through technical leadership, innovation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with mobile operators, industry experts, and global telecom companies on joint proposals and technical discussions.
• Work with RAN1, RAN2, R&D, and product teams to translate research and development ideas into technically consistent proposals.
• Contribute to future standard-essential patent opportunities by aligning standardization activities with strategic technology development.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have

• Experience in 3GPP RAN standardization activities, or equivalent experience in wireless system development.
• Knowledge of LTE or 5G NR radio technologies, especially RF, radio performance, or physical layer specifications.
• Strong communication skills in international technical discussions.
• Business-level English proficiency.

Preferred

• Experience in base station or user equipment development.
• Knowledge or experience related to mobile operators’ spectrum allocation and network operations.
• Experience filing standard-essential patent applications related to 3GPP RAN.
• Japanese language proficiency is a plus.

Base Location : Fujitsu Technology Park, Kawasaki, Japan.
