Position Overview

Keith Country Day School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic 3rd Grade Teacher to join our Lower School faculty. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic excellence, curiosity, creativity, and character development. This individual will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum while supporting the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction in core subject areas, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
• Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and a love of learning
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences
• Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives
• Maintain open, professional, and effective communication with parents, faculty, and administration
• Support students' social-emotional development and character growth
• Participate in school events, faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other community activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
• Prior elementary teaching experience preferred, with experience in upper elementary grades considered a plus
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment
