Bulk Feed Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bulk Feed Technician to join our team in Eaton, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining bulk feed equipment, ensuring accurate feed delivery, and supporting overall feed production processes. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate bulk feed handling equipment including conveyors, augers, and mixers.
• Load and unload feed ingredients and finished feed products safely and efficiently.
• Monitor feed inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of bulk feed equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies related to feed handling and equipment operation.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of feed deliveries, usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure feed quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in bulk feed handling, agriculture, or related field preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain feed handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a feed mill or agricultural setting with exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor weather conditions. The role may require standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks.
