3rd Shift Cold Finishing Operator

Modern Forge, Piney Flats, TN, is accepting applications for a Cold Finishing Operator. You will operate various secondary operation units- including 250-1000 ton coin press / extrusion / MPI / Drill Assembly units and tow motor- and ability to perform inspections on product as planned. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. After 3 months of service, you become eligible for participation in our medical, dental, vision, and 401K coverage. Responsibilities

• Receives work assignments via meetings held prior to shift start-up and according to the daily schedule
• Operates press to perform coining, straightening, and bending operations as required
• Use of prints and ability to understand SPC to make adjustments at drill station-control plans
• GS5S in all areas responsible
• Must continuously look for areas of improvement – LEAN MANUFACTURING
• Use of Quality Alerts and instructions explaining the non-routine verification to be performed.
• Set-up of Drill and assembly stations and performs PM on MPI and the HD cell units
• Operate the various presses (mechanical and hydraulic) listed above.
• Keeps work area in a clean and orderly fashion at all times
• Follows all safety procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Relevant experience preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Final candidates will be required to undergo a background check and a drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Schedule

• 3rd Shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
