Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Full-Time or Part-Time 3rd Shift CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) working from 11pm - 7am in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity are maintained at all times. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
• Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safe and comfortable mobility assistance.
• Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior related to dementia care, Alzheimer's disease, or other health issues; report findings promptly to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and caregivers to deliver comprehensive patient service tailored to individual needs across geriatrics, behavioral health, or patients with developmental disabilities.

Skills

• Proven experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities; familiarity with medical-surgical procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to patient care.
• Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) including CPR; experience with emergency medicine or ICU settings is advantageous.
• Skilled in patient transfer methods and safe lifting practices; experience with heavy lifting required at times.
• Excellent caregiver communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
• Familiarity with hospice care, infectious disease care, post-acute care environments enhances your candidacy.
