Join our dedicated healthcare team as a 3rd Shift Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital support during overnight hours, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe, comfortable environment. As a key member of our caregiving team, you will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain their independence and hygiene.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure their health status is stable.
• Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols to ensure proper treatment.
• Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory impairments through compassionate engagement and behavior management techniques.
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and assist with mobility needs to prevent falls and injuries.
• Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met.
• Support residents’ emotional well-being by engaging in social activities, offering companionship, and fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.

Requirements

• Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living communities, or personal care homes is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Certification or experience in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire.
• Ability to work overnight shifts consistently while maintaining high energy levels and attentiveness throughout the shift.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude toward residents’ physical and emotional needs.
• Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident care activities.
• Valid driver’s license is desirable for driving residents or staff when needed for community outings or appointments.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and perform light housekeeping duties as required. Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour
