Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to the developmental needs of 3- and 4-year-olds, incorporating hands-on activities and play-based learning strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress, classroom activities, and adherence to mandated reporting laws.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times by practicing first aid and CPR when necessary; respond promptly to emergencies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities that align with educational standards and support individual learning goals.

Skills

• Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting with classroom management expertise.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education practices.
• Ability to develop creative curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and child safety.
• Experience in lesson planning, behavior management techniques, and classroom organization for preschool-aged children.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR; knowledge of standard health and safety procedures in early childhood environments.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners including those requiring special education or additional support services.
