4K Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic 4K Assistant Teacher to join our team. This role involves working closely with our lead teacher to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for 4-5 year old children in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with nap time setup and break down daily.
• Help create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support children in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and basic cognitive concepts.
• Supervise children during playtime, snack, and other daily routines.
• Implement age-appropriate activities and provide individualized attention to support developmental milestones.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a licensed daycare or preschool setting.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements.

Pay: Starting at $14.00 per hour with increases based on childcare experience and education level.
