5-Hour Per Day Custodian

Duties

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Operate custodial equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and other cleaning machinery to maintain floors in pristine condition.
• Conduct light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or touch-up painting to support overall facility upkeep.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities, including proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
• Maintain sanitation by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring compliance with health standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support a safe and efficient environment.

Qualifications-Must be willing/able to obtain necessary clearances and pre-employment physical/drug testing

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with familiarity in commercial cleaning environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical agent handling safety procedures.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and visitors.
• Basic facilities maintenance skills; residential painting or porter experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and workplace safety standards.

Pay: $16.72 per hour
