Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and reliable 5-ton Class 5 Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 5-ton truck to transport goods, materials, and equipment to various locations. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 5-ton Class 5 truck for local deliveries and pickups, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate techniques, including forklift operation when necessary
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks as needed to ensure secure loading and unloading of goods
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle maintenance records
• Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally during interactions with clients

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record suitable for operating a 5-ton truck
• Proven experience in commercial driving, especially operating heavy vehicles such as trucks or vans of similar size
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a warehouse or loading dock environment
• Familiarity with forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory; certification is a plus
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and customers
• Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding loading procedures and safety protocols
• Willingness to work in physically demanding conditions and adhere to safety standards at all times
