5G Core Deployment Project Manager- Remote-Anywhere in USA (Long term contract)

A leading telecommunications organization is seeking a Senior 5G Core Network Implementation Engineer for a contract opportunity in the United States. This role will support the implementation, certification, integration, and deployment of 5G Core / 5G Standalone (5G SA) network elements within a large-scale telecommunications environment. The position will focus on 5G Core tooling, call-flow processing, network observability, subscriber data management, and operational readiness using technologies such as UDM, UDR, AUSF, 5G HSS, CHF, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and network management platforms .

This is a great opportunity for a senior telecom professional to play a key role in a Greenfield 5G SA deployment and work across Network Implementation, Planning, Maintenance Engineering, Operations, and DevOps organizations. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting 5G Core network elements, subscriber migration, network-element certification, tooling, monitoring, and production launch readiness. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale 5G deployments, gain exposure to next-generation telecom technologies, and contribute directly to customer and market launch success.

Contract Duration: 12 18 Months Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in telecommunications, network engineering, or wireless core network implementation
• Strong experience with 5G Core / 5G Standalone (5G SA) network architecture and deployment
• Hands-on experience with 5G Core network elements
• Experience with UDM, UDR, AUSF, 5G HSS, CHF, and related subscriber-data/network functions
• Experience supporting Greenfield 5G deployments
• Experience with network-element certification, integration, testing, and production deployment
• Experience with 5G Core call flows, troubleshooting, monitoring, and network observability
• Experience working with Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana
• Experience supporting subscriber migration and phased customer deployment
• Experience working with friendly trials, customer beta trials, and Market GA launch criteria
• Knowledge of CALEA / Lawful Intercept requirements within telecom environments
• Strong understanding of 4G EPC, 5G Core, IMS, and subscriber data management environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with SDL / Subscriber Data Layer technologies and subscriber data management solutions
• Experience with NetAct / Element Management Systems
• Experience with IMS Core subscriber data management, including HSS, AAA, HLR, UDM, and AUSF
• Experience with EPC/5GC/NGC and Services Planning
• Experience with Charging, CHF, Real-Time Reporting, DRouter, and LRouter
• Experience supporting Virtualized Engineering, Network Management, and Application DevOps/Tenant Operations
• Knowledge of 4G/5G Edge Application environments
• Experience transitioning newly deployed network functions into Operations and Maintenance
• Experience with large-scale telecom production environments
• Strong understanding of end-to-end 4G/5G subscriber call flows
• Experience working in cross-functional engineering organizations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field preferred
