Job Summary

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum standards and innovative teaching methods, including educational technology integration.
• Teach core math concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and introductory calculus tailored to 6th-grade students’ developmental levels.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback and tailored tutoring as needed.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to design interdisciplinary lessons, share best practices, and ensure curriculum implementation aligns with educational regulations.
• Incorporate learning styles adaptability techniques to meet the needs of all students, including those requiring special education accommodations.
• Prepare students for standardized testing by developing practice exercises and instructional strategies that enhance understanding of mathematical principles.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of middle school math topics including algebra, geometry, discrete math, and basic calculus concepts.
• Experience teaching math to teenagers in a classroom setting with proven classroom management skills.
• Ability to integrate learning technology and IT tools into lesson plans to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, student mentoring, and collaboration with colleagues.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, instructional design, and educational technology integration.
• Familiarity with educational compliance standards and regulation requirements for middle school education.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds in private or public school environments is preferred.
