Housekeeper (Hotel) – Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and organization in guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, ensures high standards of hygiene, and contributes to a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and service guest rooms daily, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms

Replace linens, towels, and guest amenities as needed

Ensure rooms are inspection-ready and meet hotel quality standards

Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to management

Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways, stairways, and lobby

Follow proper safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures

Restock housekeeping carts and supplies at the end of each shift

Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner

Follow daily room assignments and complete tasks within the given time frame

Requirements:

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (hotel experience is a plus)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–30 lbs

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Basic understanding of English (or ability to communicate effectively)

Work Environment:

Physically active role requiring movement throughout the shift
