Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled 7-meter Telehandler Operator to join our construction team for ongoing work on a project in Earlestown.

The role will involve operating a 7m telehandler safely and efficiently on site, supporting deliveries, material movement and general site logistics. The successful person must be willing to assist with general site duties when the telehandler is quiet.

Duties

• Operate the 7-meter telehandler safely and efficiently around the construction site
• Conduct daily inspections of the telehandler to ensure it is in optimal working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
• Loading, unloading and moving materials from trucks
• Assist with the setup and positioning of equipment such as excavators or other heavy machinery as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and site regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and placement schedules
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and material movements
• Assisting with general site duties when required

Requirements

• Valid certification or licensing for operating a telehandler (7-meter reach capability)
• Proven experience operating telehandlers in a construction or industrial setting
• Full UK driving license
• Own transport preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively
• Familiarity with excavator operation is a plus, demonstrating versatility in heavy machinery handling
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive safety mindset
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
