8th Grade Math Teacher

Middle School Math Teacher (Temp-to-Perm) Location: Bronx, NY

Pay: $45/hour

Type: Temp-to-perm

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:45 PM, plus some responsibilities outside school hours

Start: 2026–2027 school year

Reports to: School Director

About The Role We’re partnering with one of the highest-performing charter school networks in New York City to find a Middle School Math Teacher for a school in the Bronx. The right person believes every student can achieve at a high level. You’ll teach a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum in a highly structured, supportive classroom, with coaching to help you grow. This is a temp-to-perm role, so it’s a real path to a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Lead students to strong academic growth and mastery of grade-level Common Core math standards
• Build and maintain a structured classroom culture rooted in respect, responsibility and accountability
• Study, practice and deliver daily lessons using the school’s established curriculum
• Revise lessons for clarity and rigor with support from instructional coaches
• Collect and analyze academic and behavior data to pinpoint student needs
• Collaborate with your team and coaches to solve challenges and improve instruction
• Actively seek out and apply feedback to strengthen your practice

Qualifications

• Middle school math teaching experience required
• Teaching certification is not required
• Experience in a high-performing charter or urban school strongly preferred
• Excellent work ethic and organizational skills
• Strong belief that all students can succeed, plus the drive to make it happen
• Must clear a background check and fingerprinting
