A BEAM SAW MACHINE OPERATOR

The Beam Saw Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining beam saw Machines Used for cutting wood Panels. MDF, Plywood, particle boards, laminate, and other furniture materials according to production drawings. dimensions, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation Set up and operate beam saw machine for cutting operations. Load boards and panels into the machine safely. Input cutting dimensions according to production drawings. Monitor machine performance during operation. Adjust cutting parameters when necessary.

2. Material Preparation Verify raw material specifications before cutting. Inspect panels for damage, warping, or defects. Arrange materials according to production schedule. Ensure proper labeling after cutting.

3. Quality Control Measure cut pieces using measuring tape, vernier caliper, or templates. Ensure accuracy of dimensions and angles. Minimize chip-outs and edge damages. Reject defective pieces.

4. Machine Maintenance Conduct daily machine inspection. Clean saw blades and work area. Report faults immediately. Assist maintenance team during servicing. Daily checks may include: Blade condition Air pressure Hydraulic system Dust extraction Sensors Emergency stop buttons

5. Safety Compliance Use PPE: Safety boots Ear protection Hand gloves Dust mask Eye goggles Follow lockout/tagout procedures. Keep cutting zone free from obstruction. Report unsafe conditions. Required Skills Knowledge of beam saw machine operation. Ability to read furniture drawings and cutting lists. Understanding of panel optimization. Knowledge of machine calibration. Basic maintenance skills. Attention to detail. Good numerical ability.

Qualifications Education: OND / Technical Certificate / Vocational training in Woodwork, Carpentry, Mechanical Production, or related field. Experience: 2–5 years experience operating beam saw machines in furniture manufacturing.
