A-Level Psychology Tutor

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated A-Level Psychology Tutor to inspire and support students aiming to excel in their psychology studies. The tutor must be highly familiar with the Edexcel examination board (ideally studied this themselves with a grade A or above).

In this role, you will deliver engaging, personalized tutoring sessions that help students deepen their understanding of psychological theories, research methods, and exam techniques. Responsibilities

• Design and deliver tailored tutoring sessions focused on A-Level Psychology curriculum content, including key theories, research methods, and case studies
• Assess students’ current understanding and identify areas for improvement to create customized learning plans
• Explain complex psychological concepts in clear, accessible language suitable for diverse learning styles
• Prepare students for exams by developing practice questions, review materials, and effective study strategies
• Track student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement
• Foster a positive, motivating learning environment that builds confidence and curiosity in psychology
• Collaborate with parents or guardians when appropriate to communicate student progress and address specific learning needs

Skills

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching psychology at the high school or equivalent level. Grade A or above in A-Level Psychology.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and engagingly
• Experience working with children or young learners, understanding their unique educational needs
• Knowledge of special education strategies to support diverse learning requirements
• Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons effectively and track student development
• Passion for psychology and education, inspiring students to develop critical thinking skills and academic confidence
