A or B Lineman - Overhead Distribution

Canverra Powerline is a small powerline construction company serving electrical co-ops in Oklahoma and North Texas. We specialize in blue sky overhead distribution work. We are a family-owned company that values our employees and puts safety as the top priority over profits.

Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution lines using bucket trucks, climbing techniques, and rigging equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure to identify potential hazards or system failures.
• Safely operate bucket trucks, cranes, and other specialized equipment for high voltage work at various heights.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and utility locating maps to plan work effectively.
• Execute cabling, wire splicing, grounding, and welding tasks with precision to ensure system integrity.
• Trim trees and clear obstructions around power lines to prevent outages and ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a focus on high voltage systems.
• Skilled in rigging, welding, cabling, and blueprint reading for electrical projects.
• Valid certification in bucket operation and climbing techniques; experience with bucket trucks is essential.
• Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems; familiarity with NEC standards is preferred.
• Ability to perform field service tasks including utility locating, tree trimming around power lines, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Physical ability to climb poles, operate heavy machinery, and work at heights safely.

Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 per week
