Pharmacist — Job Description

Must have Atleast 3-5years of experience

Must have a BSC or Btech In pharmacy

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and safely.
• Review prescriptions for appropriate drug selection, dosage, interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, precautions, and storage.
• Monitor patients’ medication therapy and identify potential drug-related problems.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication sales, and patient information.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and monitoring medications.
• Ensure proper storage conditions and monitor medication expiry dates.
• Provide professional advice on minor ailments and appropriate OTC treatments.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Supervise pharmacy assistants and other pharmacy staff where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
• Monitor controlled medicines and maintain the required documentation.
• Participate in health education, medication safety, and patient-care initiatives.
