A4 Chargeman (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical systems including motors, transformers, switchgear and control panels.
• Support Facilities Engineer in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
• Carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks.
• Maintain electrical safety standards by following procedures, using protective gear and adhering to lockout / tagout protocols.
• Assist in wiring, cable jointing and installation of electrical components as required.
• Monitor electrical equipment performance and report abnormalities.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, tests and inspections.
• Assist in calibration and testing of instruments and protective relays.
• Participate in emergency repairs and shutdown activities as directed.
• Follow company policies, procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum Qualification: A4 Chargeman Suruhanjaya License
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, equipment and safety practices.
• Familiarity with electrical tools, meters (like insulation testers, mustimeters) and testing instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and manuals.
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts and follow safety protocols.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in industrial enviroments.
