A4 Chargeman (Electrical Lead)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems across the facility.
• Ensure reliable operation of UPS systems (400kVA, 100kVA, and 80kVA) and support uninterrupted plant operations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical equipment, including power panels, LV switchboards, motors, pumps, blowers, pass boxes, and LAF units.
• Monitor, operate, and maintain low-voltage electrical distribution systems, including switching, isolation, and energizing/de-energizing activities.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, power interruptions, and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with external vendors for UPS annual maintenance contracts (AMC), servicing, calibration, and compliance activities.
• Plan and execute periodic replacement and maintenance of lighting systems to ensure optimal facility illumination.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical panels, wiring, machinery, and associated systems while maintaining accurate documentation and records.
• Handle electrical work permits and ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and internal procedures.
• Act as the authorized person for electrical safety, enforcing safe work practices and monitoring contractor compliance.
• Supervise technicians and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Support facility maintenance activities related to cleanrooms, doors, utility pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, GMP standards, and company safety policies.

Requirements

• A4 Chargeman certification
• 6-10 years of experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, FMCG, or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, switchgear, motors, and facility utilities.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and maintenance projects.
• Familiarity with GMP, EHS, and regulatory compliance requirements is an added advantage.
• Good communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
