ABA Therapist / Behavioural Support Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist / Behavioural Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide behavioral therapy and support to children with developmental and behavioral challenges, primarily focusing on improving their social, communication, and daily living skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential. Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavioral intervention plans based on ABA principles to support children's developmental goals
• Collect and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments
• Assist with skill acquisition in areas such as communication, social interaction, and daily routines
• Support children during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in treatment approaches
• Administer medication as prescribed, following proper protocols and documentation procedures
• Maintain detailed records of sessions, progress notes, and behavioral observations
• Provide patient care support as needed, ensuring children's comfort and well-being during sessions

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational, clinical, or caregiving settings is preferred
• Knowledge of special education strategies and behavior management techniques is highly desirable
• Experience with medication administration and understanding of medical terminology is a plus
• Background in patient care or medical support roles can be beneficial
• Proficiency in data collection methods related to behavioral therapy is important
• Strong communication skills and patience are essential for success in this role
