Job Hours Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Job Location Manhattan, NY

Job Compensation $45-$50k per yr based on education, experience, and certifications

Your Impact Here at MBC

• Implement ABA-based programs using DTT, Learn Unit, Task Analysis, probe data, and NET teaching methods
• Collect program and behavior data which can include but are not limited to aggression, SIB, property destruction, elopement, stereotypy
• Implement research-based interventions to decrease interfering behaviors and teach replacement skills
• Engage and use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) holds/transport or disengagement tactics for students during behavioral episodes. This may mean physically intervening after being trained thoroughly, to help deescalate children when they become a danger to themselves or others.
• Prepare and organize teaching materials and teaching settings prior to each session
• Work collaboratively with a team of ABA therapists, BCBAs, and related service providers to implement student-specific strategies and protocols
• Report issues or challenges to BCBA Case Manager or Program Supervisor
• Show a professional and calm demeanor throughout daily interactions with students, staff, parents, and visitors
• Must be capable of safely and effectively performing these duties on students of varying heights
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Experience with children with Autism or PDD population using the ABA model
• This position requires flexibility and at times you may be assigned to one team, or at any point in the year float across multiple teams to assist the center
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a professional yet friendly demeanor when working in the home and clinic.
