Abacus Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Abacus Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in fostering children's mathematical skills through engaging and interactive teaching methods. Duties

• Conduct engaging abacus and math lessons tailored to students’ age and skill levels
• Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate abacus techniques, math concepts, and computer-based activities
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement
• Create a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere that motivates students to participate actively
• Incorporate technology and computer skills into lessons to enhance learning experiences
• Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support student development and address individual needs
• Maintain organized records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
• Adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs or different learning styles

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of math, abacus techniques, and basic computer skills
• Classroom experience or background in teaching or tutoring math is highly desirable
• Familiarity with special education practices or experience working with children with diverse learning needs is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage young learners effectively
• Passion for teaching, patience, and creativity in lesson planning
• Basic understanding of computer science concepts is advantageous but not mandatory
• Relevant certifications or training in education or tutoring are preferred
