Job Description

• Carry out tasks and work with other seafarers as per Bosun's or Chief Officer's instructions.
• Assist in mooring/unmooring/anchoring operations.
• Maintain cargo watch, attend the gangway, take safety and security rounds (deck and accommodation) and attend moorings, when in port.
• Receive orders from Chief Officer and/or Duty Officer for cargo operations and tank cleaning.
• Ensure proper use and care of deck and mooring equipment, cargo equipment, cranes, supplies, materials, etc.
• Carry out works related to fresh water and drinking water, works relating to bilge in cofferdams, etc.
• Carry out works related to ballast water and carpenter works.
• Assist designated officer in charge for maintaining LSA and FFA.
• Maintain housekeeping on deck, accommodation, deck change lockers and stores to ensure these are maintained in clean and hygienic condition.
• Carry out assigned works in safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain lookout and steer the vessel when at sea.
• Be responsible to OOW in performing his duty on navigation watch and steering.
• Received orders from and to assist OOW on navigation watch and steering.
• Educate and provide training to Ordinary Seaman for improvement of their performance in cargo operations, deck, accommodation and cargo equipment maintenance.
• Assist in receiving deck stores. Assist Catering department in receiving provision and bonded stores.
• Others as instructed by Bosun or C/O.

Skills and Qualifications:

Estimated Joining Schedule: SEP/OCT/NOV 2026

With At Least 18 months experience on Chemical/Oil Tanker vessels

Preferrably with US Visa
