Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Academic Counselor at GROWVIA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS. The Academic Counselor will provide one-on-one and group counseling to students on academic pathways, course selection, and educational planning. Daily responsibilities include conducting virtual counseling sessions, assessing student needs, and developing individualized academic and career plans. The role involves offering career counseling, sharing information about educational opportunities, and guiding students on skills and qualifications needed for their goals. The Academic Counselor will maintain accurate records, collaborate with internal teams, and use online tools to track progress and follow up with students. The position also includes creating and delivering informational materials, workshops, and resources to support student success and retention.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, including active listening and empathy.
• Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills and an understanding of education and training pathways.
• Candidates should possess knowledge in Education, including academic programs, curricula, and learning support resources.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Experience in academic or career counseling, preferably working with diverse student populations in remote or online settings.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, and use digital platforms for counseling and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills, ethical practice, and commitment to non-discriminatory, student-centered guidance.
