Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in subjects such as mathematics, science, English language arts, and test preparation (including SAT).
• Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student goals.
• Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and engage students in interactive learning experiences.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches to maximize understanding and retention.
• Support students with diverse learning styles, including those with special education needs or from different cultural backgrounds.
• Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging questions, promoting critical thinking, and maintaining classroom management.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other education professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student’s academic growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, especially in math, science, English language arts, or test preparation.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms and online instruction methods.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt instructional strategies for different learning styles.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or adult learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms or tutoring sessions effectively while maintaining a supportive atmosphere.
• Background in early childhood education, preschool experience, or childcare is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team of educators committed to student success.
