Contract / Part-Time Role

IOT Academy (www.icanonlinetutors.com), a specialist tuition provider for professional accounting and finance students, is seeking experienced and dedicated ACCA Tutors to join our online teaching team.

As an ACCA Online Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging tuition to ACCA students through online learning platforms. We are looking for tutors who can combine strong technical knowledge with effective teaching, communication, and student support.

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced and knowledgeable ACCA Tutors who can deliver structured, engaging, and exam-focused online tuition.

The successful candidate will create a positive and interactive learning environment, help students develop their technical and exam skills, and support them throughout the relevant ACCA exam preparation period.

You will be expected to deliver classes professionally, prepare appropriately for each session, and provide students with clear guidance on the requirements of their ACCA examination.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality online tuition for one or more of the listed ACCA courses.
• Plan and prepare structured lessons aligned with the relevant ACCA syllabus and examination requirements.
• Explain technical concepts clearly and demonstrate their practical application.
• Develop or adapt appropriate teaching materials, examples, case studies, questions, and revision activities.
• Provide exam-focused guidance, including question practice, exam technique, time management, and approach to common question types.
• Facilitate interactive online classes, encouraging student participation and questions.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students identify and address areas for improvement.
• Support students in developing their understanding and confidence throughout the course.
• Use Microsoft Teams and other relevant online teaching tools effectively.
• Maintain a professional, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Keep up to date with relevant ACCA syllabus, examination, and technical developments.
• Communicate effectively with the IOT Academy team regarding classes, student engagement, teaching materials, and other academic matters.
• Attend scheduled teaching sessions reliably and communicate promptly regarding any unforeseen issues affecting availability.

Candidate RequirementsEssential

• ACCA Member or Affiliate in good standing.
• Strong technical knowledge of at least one of the advertised ACCA courses.
• Relevant experience teaching ACCA papers or professional accounting qualifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation and teaching skills.
• Ability to explain complex accounting and finance concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Ability to deliver engaging and interactive online classes.
• Reliable access to a suitable computer, stable internet connection, and an appropriate environment for online teaching.
• Availability to teach primarily at weekends during the agreed course period.

Desirable

• Previous experience delivering online ACCA tuition.
• Experience preparing students specifically for ACCA examinations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or comparable online teaching platforms.
• Experience teaching multiple ACCA courses.
• Demonstrable student success or positive feedback from previous teaching engagements.

Contract and Payment

This is a part-time contract teaching role.

For each ACCA exam diet, the tutor and IOT Academy will mutually agree a fixed fee for the agreed teaching engagement before the teaching period begins.

The agreed fixed fee will be paid at the end of the relevant ACCA exam diet, subject to completion of the agreed teaching engagement and any other agreed contractual requirements.

The fee will be determined by mutual agreement based on factors including the course, teaching requirements, experience, and scope of the engagement.
