Access Control & Surveillance Technician

Overview

Arapahoe County Security Center (ACSC) is looking for an experienced Access Control & Surveillance Technician to join our technical team.

Established in 1996, ACSC is a locally owned locksmith and security company providing commercial access control, surveillance, locksmith, door hardware, and safe services throughout the Denver metro area.

Our primary electronic security platforms include PDK (ProdataKey), Alarm Lock Trilogy, and Milesight surveillance systems.

This isn't a position where you'll be expected to handle everything on your own. You'll work alongside our existing access control and surveillance technicians, sharing knowledge, troubleshooting problems together, and supporting one another on installations, service calls, and larger projects.

What You'll Do

• Install, program, service, and troubleshoot commercial access control systems
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP camera and access control systems
• Work primarily with PDK, Alarm Lock Trilogy, and Milesight
• Install and troubleshoot readers, REX devices, door contacts, controllers, and power supplies
• Install and troubleshoot electric strikes, electrified locks, maglocks, and related door hardware
• Configure credentials, schedules, permissions, cameras, NVRs, and system software
• Diagnose wiring, power, programming, communication, networking, and hardware issues
• Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling
• Perform system upgrades, additions, and service calls
• Read plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Test and commission completed systems
• Maintain accurate system and project documentation
• Work with our locksmith and door hardware technicians when systems overlap

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with real commercial access control and surveillance experience who understands how the entire system works—not just how to pull wire and mount devices.

You should have:

• Commercial access control installation and service experience
• Commercial IP surveillance/camera experience
• Strong low-voltage troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of relays, inputs, outputs, and power supplies
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Experience with electrified commercial door hardware
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Good customer communication skills
• A collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong grasp of Microsoft Windows OS

Platform Experience

Experience with PDK (ProdataKey), Alarm Lock Trilogy, and/or Milesight is strongly preferred but not required.

If you're an experienced access control and surveillance technician who has worked extensively with other commercial platforms, we'd still like to hear from you.

Experience with networking, integrations, intercoms, commercial locksmithing, door hardware, automatic operators, or manufacturer certifications is also a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

$30–$35 per hour, depending on experience and technical ability

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
