Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Access Control role based in Ft. Meade, MD. The Access Control professional will monitor and manage facility entry points, verify credentials, and ensure that only authorized individuals access secure areas. Responsibilities include maintaining visitor logs, issuing and tracking access badges, and following established security procedures and protocols. The role involves coordinating with security and operations teams to report and respond to suspicious activity, incidents, or policy violations. The Access Control professional will also assist with periodic audits of access rights, support compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and contribute to a safe and secure work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with physical security, access control systems, and facility monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of security policies, incident reporting procedures, and regulatory or contractual security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, recordkeeping accuracy, and ability to manage visitor logs and badge inventories.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and security personnel.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and objective when handling security incidents or high-pressure situations.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email, databases, and standard office software.
• Ability to stand, walk, and monitor facilities for extended periods, as required by the position.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security certifications or training are a plus.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain any required security clearances or background checks.
