Access Control Officer

Requirements

• Grade 10
• 1-2yrs Previous relevant experience, (in hospitality or client

service interface) would be preferable

• Computer literate (MS Office, Microsoft Outlook, Word and

Excel).

• Bilingual in two of three official languages of the Eastern and

Western Cape (Afrikaans/ English/ IsiXhosa);

• Fire-fighting basic experience would be an advantage
• Valid code B drivers’ license would be an advantage;
• Must be Physically Fit and able bodied (Incumbent needs to

complete a Moderate Field Walk test, wearing a 11kg

weighted vest over a distance of 3.6km within 34 minutes)

Note: Incumbents must be willing to work irregular hours including

weekends and public holidays

Key Performance Areas

• Executing Main Entrance tasks in order to monitor and

control the inflow and outflow of the public as well as goods

at the Resort/Facility

• Exercising access control according to specific guidelines
• Maintaining accurate and safe keeping of all records and

transaction

• Handling individual or group bookings,
• Executing Customer Services Functions by providing

information services to visitors and addressing queries

• Opening and closing the resort/facility
• Ensuring compliance within regulations
• Recording and reporting all incidences and emergencies to

immediate superior

• Utilising & controlling tools, equipment and materials optimally
• Assist in fire-fighting activities
• Works within applicable rules and procedures
