Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Access Control Officer to join our team for weekend night shifts, working from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. In this vital role, you will oversee physical security operations, manage access control systems, perform patrols, and respond swiftly to emergencies, ensuring a secure environment through proactive monitoring and incident management.

Duties

• Authorize and verify entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors using access control systems
• Conduct thorough patrols of the premises to monitor physical security and identify potential risks
• Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to observe activity across the site
• Respond promptly to emergency situations following established procedures, including fire alarms or security breaches
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns or occurrences during your shift
• Perform background checks on visitors or personnel as required by company policies
• Manage emergency response procedures such as first aid, AED operation, or conflict de-escalation when necessary

Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
• Knowledge of surveillance systems and access control technologies is essential
• Training in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred
• Familiarity with incident report writing and emergency response procedures is important
• Ability to perform physical security tasks including patrolling and heavy lifting when needed
• Strong conflict management skills with a focus on de-escalation techniques
• Demonstrated compliance with security regulations and protocols

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
