Access Control Technician

We are seeking experienced technicians for the service and installation of access control and video surveillance systems.

We are looking for technicians experienced in installation, termination, programming, and troubleshooting of ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS, capable of working with multiple brands of access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, program, service, and troubleshoot access control systems
• Work with multiple brands of access control equipment
• Install and service video surveillance/CCTV systems
• Troubleshoot electronic and network-related issues
• Work with network cabling infrastructure and fiber optic systems
• Use electronic and network test equipment
• Diagnose problems and determine effective solutions
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Travel to various job sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced experience in installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of access control systems
• Experience with CCTV/video surveillance systems
• Experience with fire alarm and burglar alarm systems
• Knowledge of network cabling infrastructure, fiber optic, and test equipment, including best practices and methodologies
• Highly developed analytical skills and the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Advanced knowledge of electronic test equipment and how it is used
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, including those requiring a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy
• Open to learning new skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Self-motivated

• Must have your own vehicle
• Must be willing to travel to job sites
• Experience in installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of access control systems
