We are looking for reliable, safety-focused Standby Operators to join our team and provide coverage for scheduled and unscheduled operator absences. Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned vehicles in accordance with Care Calgary policy and traffic regulations
• Provide courteous, professional, and compassionate service to all passengers, including those with mobility needs
• Assist passengers with boarding, securement, and exiting, including the use of accessibility equipment
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and required documentation
• Follow assigned routes and schedules
• Respond to changing shift needs on short notice

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience
• Valid Class 4 driver's licence
• Clean Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance
• No more than 3 demerit points on your driver's licence abstract
• Ability to work 3 days per week, which must include at least one weekend day or night

Assets

• Previous accessible transit experience

Work Schedule

• Shifts are 10 to 12 hours in length
• Standby availability of 3 days per week, including one weekend day or night
• Shifts are not guaranteed, and the number of shifts offered will vary based on operational needs
