Accessories Installation Technician

Job Summary

Accessories of Des Moines is seeking one Accessory Installation Technician. Qualified candidates must have their own tools, a good driving record, be able to pass a background check, and be able to install automotive/light truck accessories on all makes efficiently while maintaining the highest quality and care for the vehicle.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate of $20+ per hour , depending on experience, expertise, and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Installations include:
  • Tonneau covers
  • Running boards
  • Splash guards
  • Tool boxes and ladder racks
  • Bug deflectors
  • Hitches and wiring (Gooseneck, 5th wheel, and standard receiver hitches)
  • Other basic bolt on accessories
  • Chassis work. Level/Lift kits
  • Mounting and balancing tires
  • Installation of interior and exterior electrical accessories. Lighting, remote start systems, heated seats, etc.
  • Fuel transfer tanks

Qualific****ations

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
