Accessory Fitter

We are recruiting Vehicle Accessory Fitters in the bayside area for full-time positions. The role involves fitting vehicle accessories such as custom bull bars, toolboxes, canopies, trays and drawers to utes and trucks, while supporting daily workshop operations. A good level of physical fitness is essential, as the work requires regularly climbing in, on and under vehicles.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Supervisor, your responsibilities will include;

• Fitting of automotive accessories to 4x4 / commercial utes – bullbars, toolboxes, side steps, canopies, etc.
• Basic conversion to tray-back utility vehicles.
• Modification of accessories as needed.
• Workshop duties as directed by your supervisor including assisting trades, labouring and workshop upkeep maintenance.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will have;

• Strong automotive mechanical background;
• Confident using hand & power tools;
• Reliable vehicle as public transport may not be available for the required start times;
• Maintaining the cleanliness and orderly operation of the workshop;
• Display a high attention to detail and a positive attitude;
• Have full PPE including steel capped boots, hi-vis shirts and work pants;
• Be physically fit and capable to complete manual tasks – the role may involve manual lifting, bending, squatting and kneeling;
• Available for an immediate start.
