What they need
Astra Apartments Perth provides long-stay apartments in Perth, to accommodate the unique needs of travelling business people and those needing a temporary home. We’re a small, hands-on team managing around 25 apartments in Perth, with a strong focus on making sure guests are well looked after and everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
We’re now looking for a talented Accommodation Coordinator to join our tight knit hybrid team. This is a diverse position, suiting someone from a hotel reception background wanting better hours and more ownership of their role. One moment you might be arranging a guest check-in or coordinating a repair; the next you could be completing apartment checks, liasing with apartment owners, invoicing or purchasing furniture. This role offers excellent career development opportunities with a genuine pathway into an Assistant Manager role available.
The role:
- Coordinate guest arrivals, departures and apartment requirements
- Respond to guest enquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Complete apartment inspections and making sure properties are ready for guests
- Coordinate cleaners, trades, maintenance and repairs
- Liaise with property owners, agents, contractors and corporate clients
- Prepare client invoices, process refunds and follow up overdue accounts
- Review expenses, utility bills, rental invoices and maintenance costs
- Help source, negotiate and set up new apartment leases
- Prepare monthly occupancy, sales, invoice and quotation reports
- Support the casual operations and administration team
- Help with practical tasks such as replacing small appliances or light globes
- Monitor the work phone outside normal hours on a shared basis and assisting with occasional lockouts or late check-ins
Requirements:
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills, ideally within a hospitality environment
- Reliable and comfortable working independently
- The ability to stay calm when dealing with demanding guests or unexpected issues
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Good administration and attention to detail
- The ability to follow established processes while suggesting improvements
- Confidence travelling between apartments in and around the Perth CBD
- A reliable vehicle and current driver’s licence
- The physical ability to assist with tasks such as moving furniture when required
Experience in serviced apartments, hotels, duty management, property management or a similar environment would be helpful, but attitude and reliability matter just as much.
On Offer:
- Car allowance arrangements reflecting the local travel required
- A mix of onsite and work-from-home days once trained
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm working hours
- Full training and support from an experienced, approachable business owner
- Plenty of variety and the freedom to manage your day
- A clear opportunity to develop into an Assistant Manager role
If you enjoy looking after people, solving problems and working in a role where no two days are quite the same, we’d like to hear from you. Apply today with a copy of your cover letter and current resume or contact [0408 686 266](tel:0408 686 266) for any additional information.
