About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account and Procurement professional to join our team on a full-time basis in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This role sits at the intersection of financial management and procurement operations, combining accounting expertise with procurement responsibilities. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of our financial processes whilst maintaining efficient procurement practices. This position is integral to supporting the organisation's operational efficiency and financial health, contributing directly to our strategic business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and collection activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor selection, purchase order management, and supplier relationship management
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and maintain procurement documentation
• Monitor and reconcile supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts
• Assist in budget tracking and expenditure monitoring across various departments
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and queries
• Maintain comprehensive records of transactions, contracts, and procurement activities
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Support the finance and procurement teams with administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Minimum 1 year experience in an accounts or accounting role, preferably within the energy sector or a similar industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management and reconciliation
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy in financial documentation
• Understanding of procurement processes and vendor management principles
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently whilst being a team player in a collaborative environment
• Knowledge of relevant compliance and regulatory requirements in Malaysia is advantageous
• Previous experience in the energy sector or working with complex procurement processes would be highly valued
