Account Assistant

About the role

Kuan Press Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is a full-time position based in the Kajang-Bangi-Serdang area of Selangor. As an Account Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and helping to maintain the smooth functioning of our accounts department. What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording financial transactions

• Assisting with accounts payable functions

• Maintaining and updating financial records and ledgers

• Preparing basic financial reports and statements under supervision

• Supporting the accounts team with month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Filing and organising accounting documentation in compliance with company policies

• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments regarding financial matters

• Assisting with general administrative tasks related to the accounting department

• Ensuring compliance with company accounting standards and procedures

What we're looking for

• GCE O-Level, STPM, SPM, degree or equivalent qualification, or higher
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail when handling financial information
• Excellent organisational abilities and time management skills
• Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Professional approach and reliability in meeting deadlines
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge and skills
• Experience in an accounting or finance role, or relevant certification
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting practices and GST/SST regulations is preferred
