ACCOUNT ASSISTANT

About the role

CS Group Restaurant (Paradigm) Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Assistant to join our accounting team. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor. As an Account Assistant, you will provide essential support to our accounting department, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day accounting operations. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of our restaurant group and supporting our finance team in delivering timely and accurate financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and recording accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and promptly
• Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Maintaining and organising financial records, invoices, and supporting documentation
• Data entry and maintenance of accounting systems and databases
• Performing general ledger reconciliations and assisting with month-end closing procedures
• Supporting payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
• Responding to accounting enquiries from internal departments and external vendors
• Assisting with audit preparations and providing necessary documentation
• Performing other accounting duties as assigned by the accounting manager

What we're looking for

• Completed Secondary education with accounting or business-related qualifications preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage spreadsheets and data analysis
• Strong mathematical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent organisational abilities and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and external parties
• Reliability and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge and skills
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a finance-related role is advantageous
• Knowledge of restaurant or hospitality industry accounting practices is desirable
