Account Assistant

Account Assistant – Duties

• Assist with daily accounting and finance operations.

• Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and accounting records.

• Perform data entry and update financial transactions into the accounting system.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Assist with bank reconciliation and petty cash management.

• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers or relevant departments.

• Prepare monthly reports and assist with month-end closing.

• Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.

• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments regarding billing and payments.

• Ensure transactions are properly recorded and supporting documents are complete.

• Assist the Accountant/Finance Manager with other accounting and administrative tasks.

Key Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least 1 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
• Familiar with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with AutoCount is an added advantage.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to maintain accurate records.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, trustworthy and able to handle confidential financial information.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
