Account Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our dynamic team at 21DAYS Learning Lab Sdn Bhd, based in Setia Tropika Johor. In this full-time role, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounting entries, AP & AR, payment documentation, bank reconciliation, staff claims and account-related follow-ups.

What you'll be doing

• Handle daily accounting entries and maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and relevant supporting documents
• Perform basic bank reconciliation and account checking
• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up when required
• Process and check staff claims, reimbursements and company expenses
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, receipts and accounting records
• Perform data entry and update accounting records accurately
• Assist with month-end closing and preparation of accounting schedules
• Liaise with internal departments on accounting, payment and documentation matters
• Support general administrative duties related to the Accounts Department
• Carry out other accounting-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management

What we're looking for

• Minimum SPM, LCCI or equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in AP, AR, invoicing and bank reconciliation
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented, responsible and well-organised
• Good follow-up skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Positive working attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and able to work collaboratively with different departments
