Our client is a leading global MNC with operations across multiple countries. The company is seeking an Account Assistant to support its growing operations and finance functions.

About the role

Responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, issuing Purchase Orders (PO), maintaining SST and statutory records, processing staff claims, and providing support to the Account Executive.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices and credit notes.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers.
• Process and maintain staff claims and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate SST and statutory records.
• Assist the Account Executive with daily accounting and administrative tasks.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

About you

• Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin/Cantonese speaking is preferred due to the company's HQ being in Hong Kong.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Familiar with accounting software; experience with SQL Accounting is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Responsible, organised, and able to work independently and meet deadlines.
